This is a gem. We loved the menu here: Vietnamese, seafood, and classics like a hamburger. Reasonably priced. No fuss. Fantastic food. My daughter loved the banh mi sandwich. My son had fried spring rolls. My husband had a bacon cheeseburger. My mom got two fish and fried rice. We all liked the fried rice. I got fried fish, shrimp, and oysters. We did not like the oysters. Everything else was yummy! We could eat here over and over again.

Viet Cajun was an amazing little seafood place in Galveston. Being a fast-casual restaurant, you order your food at the counter and it is brought to your table. I didn't have high expectations at first, but everything turned out to be delicious. I ordered the grilled catfish plate, which comes with a large fillet of catfish, vegetables, and fried rice. Each of these components were delicious - especially the fried rice, which I totally did not expect. I also tried the fried catfish, french fries, and loaded fries off of my peers' plates, and they were all extremely delicious. The staff was also very attentive and helpful, able to assist with anything that we needed. Overall, 5.0/5.0 stars and I would definitely come back any time I'm in Galveston.

I came here for crawfish and absolutely melted at the listed crab cakes on the appetizer menu. The crab cakes were delicious and freshly fried. We ordered 3 lbs of crawfish and some potatoes and corn in garlic butter. They didn’t hold back on the sides or the garlic butter! These were some of the juiciest crawfish I’ve ever had, and I’ve eaten a lot of bugs! It’s early in the season right now so I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the crawfish. I will be coming back for more! I didn’t order any other food but everything that was served today looked and smelled delicious.

GALVESTON... OHHHH GALVESTON... why has nobody ever mentioned Viet Cajun before?!?! WHY??? I’m not going to make this one into a book because I don’t want to bore anybody with my love for Vietnamese food... BUT... GUYS!!!! OMG!!! O-M-G!!! I was not expecting what I got... I couldn’t really mash up Vietnamese and Cajun food in my head... but its that type of food you never thought you needed or wanted, but soooo glad you have it now. Does that make sense??? I’m going to be honest... I had no idea this place existed. But a person who read my review on Pho Tai said, you have to go try Viet Cajun... and boy oh boy were they sooooo right about this place. I’m gonna let the pictures speak for themselves... But those LOADED FRIES!!! Thank you Lord baby Jesus for whoever had the idea for them... The bahn mi sandwich was outstanding. I asked for a small rice and I swear they must have looked at me and said he looks hungry because it had to have been half a sack of rice on that plate. But it was so so delicious also. Go try them yall.... It is LEGIT!!! Here is their info in case somebody wants to try them: Viet Cajun 8910 FM-3005 Ste E Galveston, TX 77554 (409) 497-2216 And I promise... not all my reviews will be on Vietnamese food... My boyfriend and I have picked up and use DoorDash. And the food/taste is ALWAYS consistent. Don’t play with them and if you’re skeptical or trying Vietnamese food for the first time ... I promise they will NOT disappoint you. I like Vietnamese food and my boyfriend is from Louisiana. We always get the same things. He gets a po-boy with an order of boudin balls and viet iced coffee, I get Shrimp Pho, order of boudin balls, pork banh mi with fish sauce for the next day & viet iced coffee. It always tastes amazing, you can never go wrong with them.

The atmosphere was comfortable and relaxed. The food was awesome. My family and I did dine in and take out. The food was very good both ways. Sam at the front desk is just great. She is very helpful with questions about the food and how it was cooked. I would definitely recommend trying this restaurant if you're in Galveston.
